Indian Volunteer Trust believes in ethical, voluntary, and transparent support for social good. This Donation Policy outlines how contributions are accepted, used, and governed.

1. Nature of Donations

  • All donations to Indian Volunteer Trust are voluntary.
  • No individual or group is pressured, influenced, or obligated to donate.
  • Donations may be accepted in material form and/or monetary form as decided by the organization.

2. Types of Donations Accepted

  • Material Donations (clothes, grocery items, recyclable materials, religious items, etc.)
  • Service-Based Support (skills, time, professional services)
  • Event-Based Contributions (voluntary support during approved events)
  • Monetary Donations (only through approved, transparent channels when enabled)

3. Purpose & Use of Donations

Donations are used strictly for organizational, social, community, and charitable purposes.

  • Supporting active volunteers and community initiatives
  • Organizing approved events and activities
  • Welfare of society, environment, animals, women, and senior citizens
  • Operational needs aligned with the Trust’s mission

No donation shall be used for personal benefit, political activity, or unlawful purposes.

4. No Guarantee or Consideration

  • Donations do not guarantee membership, leadership roles, or special privileges
  • No employment, income, or business opportunities are assured
  • Influence over decisions or activities is not permitted

5. Transparency & Accountability

  • The Trust maintains basic records of donations received and their utilization
  • Authorized office bearers oversee donation handling
  • Donation details may be reviewed internally for ethical use
  • Summarized information may be shared for transparency when appropriate

6. Fundraising Ethics

  • Aggressive fundraising is strictly prohibited
  • Cash collection without written authorization is not allowed
  • All fundraising activities must be pre-approved

7. Refund & Return Policy

  • Donations once accepted and utilized are non-refundable
  • Exceptional cases may be reviewed at the discretion of the Trust

8. Tax Benefits

  • Tax exemption benefits will be clearly communicated if applicable
  • Donors should not assume eligibility unless officially stated
