Structure, responsibility, and discipline that guide Indian Volunteer Trust

Indian Volunteer Trust follows a structured leadership model to ensure discipline, transparency, and peaceful coordination across all activities. Each role carries responsibility, not power.

The Prabhari is the primary guardian of discipline, coordination, and organizational integrity at the assigned level. The role is not to exercise power, but to ensure smooth functioning and peaceful execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to Code of Conduct and organizational policies
  • Coordinate and supervise all Presidents, Vice Presidents, Advisors, and Volunteers
  • Facilitate role assignment and leadership verification
  • Oversee team formation across all activity verticals
  • Implement and monitor leadership rotation
  • Maintain discipline and conflict-free functioning
  • Review event planning, execution, and reporting
  • Prevent misuse of organization’s name, logo, or authority
  • Ensure transparency in fundraising and resource use
Important Boundaries
  • Does not interfere in daily execution unless required
  • No financial or personal authority
  • No political, personal, or commercial promotion
  • Always neutral, calm, and unbiased

The President is the principal coordinator and guiding leader of the assigned activity vertical, responsible for smooth execution and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage assigned activity vertical
  • Coordinate closely with Prabhari
  • Plan and oversee activities and events
  • Build and motivate leadership teams
  • Ensure peaceful, lawful, and inclusive activities
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress
  • Support onboarding and leadership continuity
Authority & Limitations
  • Functional authority only for coordination
  • No independent disciplinary or financial power
  • Major decisions require consultation

The Vice President supports the President in execution and prepares for rotational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning and execution
  • Coordinate volunteers and sub-teams
  • Monitor activity progress
  • Act as Acting President when required
  • Maintain records and reporting
  • Prepare for leadership rotation
Authority & Limitations
  • Supportive authority only
  • No unilateral decisions
  • Works under President & Prabhari

The Advisor provides guidance, wisdom, and stability without exercising authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide Presidents and Vice Presidents
  • Mentor volunteers and leaders
  • Support conflict resolution through dialogue
  • Preserve organizational values and culture
  • Encourage inclusivity and teamwork
Authority & Limitations
  • No executive or financial authority
  • No instructions or binding decisions
  • Must remain neutral and confidential

  • Follow Code of Conduct and guidelines
  • Support leadership teams

  • Protect organization’s reputation
  • Encourage participation through example
Authority & Limitations
  • No administrative or legal authority
  • No enforcement or confrontation role
  • No public representation without approval
